What does it take to get hospice care?
In order to receive hospice care, the attending
physician must make a diagnosis of a patient's incurable
illness, certifying a prognosis that the patient has six
months or less (if the illness runs its normal course).
A physician and/or the family can make a direct request
to A&E Hospice Care. Our full-time medical
director is also available to evaluate a patient's need
for hospice care.
